A Greater Than Moses Is Here

A Greater Than Moses Is Here | Pastor Malcolm Macqueen

What does the life of Moses teach us about the way God prepares, changes and uses His people?

In this podcast, we revisit Pastor Malcolm Macqueen’s sermon “A Greater Than Moses Is Here”, based on Hebrews 3:1–4. From Moses’ extraordinary survival as a child to his years in Pharaoh’s palace and four decades in the wilderness, we explore how God took a man who was once “mighty in word and deed” and brought him to a place of dependence, surrender and availability.

We look at five significant aspects of Moses’ life: survivor, deliverer, mediator, law giver and mentor. Yet each one ultimately points us towards someone greater — Jesus Christ.

Along the way, we consider some deeply personal questions. Could the wilderness season you’re experiencing actually be part of God's preparation? Are there areas where you're relying upon your own ability rather than His strength? And, perhaps most importantly, are you willing to give Jesus access to every area of your life?

Moses was a remarkable leader and mentor to Joshua and Caleb, but Jesus wants to be our mentor today. He wants to develop meekness and faithfulness within us, set us free from what holds us captive and transform us into the people He has called us to become.
