Last Sunday, July the 17th, we had our well anticipated annual family service, led by the Sunday School children themselves!
The morning consisted of many beautiful scriptures and poems, a play, several songs with live music produced by the children and a story. As always it was an amazing event which didn’t fail to impress and delight all members of the church and the many visitors. The fact that all the children learned their lines perfectly and the enthusiasm put into all the different items made the service seamless and a pleasure to watch.
One of the main reasons why it’s so great to have an event like this, is that, it’s a great experience for the children in the way that it allows them to learn more about God and be able to teach the church what they’ve learnt in a creative way.
The theme of the service was linked to modern day technology and communications. The overall message was that God is always available to talk to us and we can go to Him whenever we are in need. You may call someone and they may not answer because their phone is on silent or they’re busy, or they don’t have good network signal, God’s line is never engaged and He is just a prayer away. We know this because Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
All in all, it was terrific service and I’m sure everyone in the church can’t wait to see what the kids will bring to us next year!
